A Successful FCP Certified Mentor:

Has personal experience working in partnership with parents or caregivers of a child placed in out of home care (foster care).

Desires to support others as they build partnerships and navigate relationships in the foster care system.

Works well both independently and as a team member.

Possesses a basic understanding of the WA state child welfare system.
FCP Certified Mentors:

Receive specialized training on facilitating effective meetings, support people as they have difficult conversations, and more!

Collaborate with other mentors on a regular basis.

Improve their skills with ongoing training and support.
